FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH Guitarist: 'Our Fans Are Diehard!'

FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH guitarist Zoltan Bathory has commented on the first-week sales of the band's debut album, "The Way of the Fist", which entered the The Billboard 200 chart at position No. 199. The CD shifted over 5,400 copies via traditional retail outlets and moved another 1,400 units in digital downloads.

Said Bathory: "A new band's first record landing in the Billboard Top 200? I tell ya' It's an awesome feeling because it's a measurable expression of our fans' loyalty. Our fans are diehard! They pride themselves with supporting the band and supporting metal in general by going out and buying the record instead of downloading it [illegally]. We did pop open a couple of cold ones... it is a milestone... but we know there is a long road ahead of us."

As the band continues its successful trek headlining the RedOctane "Guitar Hero" second stage of this summer's Family Values Tour, the album's first single — "The Bleeding" — continues to grab and demand everyone's attention while making a steady climb at radio hitting #35 on the Active Rock and #10 on the CMJ Loud Rock charts this week.

"The Way of the Fist", was released on July 31 via Firm Music, a branch of the highly successful entertainment talent management company The Firm. The CD was recorded at Next Level Studios with Stevo "Shotgun" Bruno (PRONG, MÖTLEY CRÜE) and at Complex Studios with Mikey Sarkisyan (SPINESHANK). Mixing and mastering duties were handled by Logan Mader (MACHINE HEAD, SOULFLY).
